Thanks to support we received from friends like you, Brown Bag Ministry surpassed our goals for rice and beans distributed at last year’s Migrant Farm Workers Dinner. This year, the need is just as critical–and the way you can support us is just as simple! Here’s a quick snapshot:

What:

Donations of bags (any size) of rice and/or black, kidney or pinto beans to be distributed at the upcoming annual Migrant Farm Workers Dinner

Our 2016 Rice Goal: 5,000 lbs.
Our 2016 Beans Goal: 3,000 lbs.
Our 2016 Workers Served Goal: 1,000

Who:

Migrant laborers who have worked their way across the United States to arrive in North Carolina and begin planting and harvesting the locally grown fruit and vegetables we enjoy all year

When*:

Any Saturday in April and May 
9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Where:

St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church
3008 Old Raleigh Road, Apex, NC  27502

*Note: You can also drop off your labeled donation in the Brown Bag Ministry collection bins next to the St. Andrew parish office during normal business hours (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) or simply place them in the back of the Brown Bag Ministry truck (which remains parked at the parish during the week). And if you have a large donation that’s difficult to move, just contact us to arrange a pickup.
